The NewEnergies Business Model

NewEnergies is a South African leader in producing and selling clean, renewable energy. The company began operating in 2003 and completed its first energy project in 2004.

NewEnergies offers an innovative approach to make the conversion to clean energy an affordable and attractive option.

NewEnergies sets up an on-site thermal energy plant on the premises of large-scale consumers of heat energy such as hotels, hospitals, retirement centres and factories.
The plant is connected to the customer's heating system (water heating) and supplies energy at better prices than any other conventional source of energy.

NewEnergies sees to the operation and maintenance of the plant. The plant includes an energy meter, which produces a monthly reading as well as timer controls. The facility experiences an immediate reduction in energy consumption and cost.

NewEnergies offers customers a long-term energy supply contract. During the contract period the customer pays monthly only for the energy consumed. The payment method is similar to paying other utility accounts such as water and electricity.

NewEnergies offers the customer an option of taking ownership of the energy plant upon contract completion at no extra charge.

NewEnergies currently runs more than half a dozen projects in South Africa.
